Problem
Hey Bud Skincare faced multiple challenges as it transitioned to a more advanced eCommerce experience. The existing platform lacked the flexibility to support dynamic bundle-building capabilities and tiered discount logic, which are central to the brand’s promotional strategy. Integrating subscription services through Skio introduced potential conflicts with Shopify’s native cart behavior, complicating the checkout flow. Third-party apps frequently overrode custom templates, risking UI inconsistencies and broken layouts. Additionally, the marketing team needed a scalable solution to manage content such as FAQs, product information, and promotional rules without relying on developer intervention. To maintain a high-performing mobile-first experience, it was critical to balance rich media and interactive elements with optimized load speeds. Addressing these complexities was essential to enable scalability, improve conversions, and ensure a cohesive, on-brand user journey.
